Well I'm only using the wii as a example but it nom'ed a-lot of batteries. Only thing was worse was my digital camera. The rechargeable battery pack I bought for the wiimote would go flat daily. For a while I was using the wiimote in the charge station. The darn thing ended up leaking. If they do use a DS battery type thing but bigger then Id be happy. Don't think Ive ever found someone that says the ds battery goes flat too quickly. lol

Wii U is listed here as $598.00 Available TBC 2012 Says it may change closer to release. That going on price would mean the US price is ~450$. Yay for expensive.

Honestly, I wouldn't put much stock into that price announcement at this point. Nintendo hasn't announced anything there, so that part's all speculative.
In any case, I'm waiting to the point where we see actual games and not just tech demos, but it looks like a great idea that I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

The store listed the 3ds here as 300$ pre-release the announced price was 349$.
It just isn't giving a me hope that it will be well cheapish. Not in my area anyway. I wonder if I can import one from the UK. lol I'm thinking of getting a 3ds from their. save 50$ and get a free game.
The ps3 was 1100$ in my area at launch so a major rip off isn't out of the question. But yeah 700$ is only 100$ more then the top PS3 price here.
I really do hope I'm wrong and its like 300$ US and 450$ AUS if history is to go by I wont be though.
