So, I'm shonen413. I love videogames, and I love videogame & charities that work them together. Extralife and Child's play have to be some of my favorite ones, but charities in general are great.
I play tons of games on steam and i do enjoy console gaming too.
i first got my start when i was a lil kid. my first system was an SNES. And one of the first game's i played on that was Megaman X and i absolutely loved it. i also had Super Mario all stars, aero the acrobat, yoshi's island which has to be in my top 3 games of all time because it was so innovative and fun, art of fighting (streetfighter knockoff), a speedy gonzalez game, a scooby doo game (it was too hard for its own good), super mario world, and Donkey kong country 2 (also an amazing game, with really amazing music).
then i moved onto the playstation and that was fun. (too many games to remeber). never could get a nintendo 64, but i do remember having a ton of fun with the playstation. crash bandicoot and spyro the dragon were amazing fun, and megaman X made his move to the playstation so i was ecstatic. this was also around the time i has received a gameboy color! pokemon was about the only game i remeber playing for that. and i did have a fabled dreamcast also! i played sonic adventure 1 & 2, and my brother played a bunch of sports games on it because at the time, that was the best looking system.
PS2 was also very fun and thats when the shooters started for me. one of the first games i got for that was Rachet and Clank a great game that was more platformer than shooter, but it was done so well! i remember wasting hours trying to hundred percent that game. (funny story, when i first got my ps2, it didnt come with a memory card, so i would leave it on for hours at a time because i couldnt save! i did eventually get a memory card) also, my obsession with skating games started on there with tony hawk's pro skater 4 which was way too much fun for its own good.
i did eventually get a gamecube and had tons of fun playing melee and sunshine on that. Oh and i played resident evil 4 until my thumbs broke. (great game)
i wont lie to you guys. i never played a legend of zelda game growing up! (cue gasps) i did however play the remake on the GBA. GBA still has to be my favorite system. all my favorite old school games and even new ones! nintendo had made a dream system for me! sonic, zelda, mario, and even Yoshi's Island! and metroid fusion! don't even get me started on that masterpiece.
when i had to chose the next gen system, it was basically between Xbox and Wii. (ps3 was wayyyyy too expensive) so i chose 360 and one of the first games i got was oblivion. i was hooked. Gears of war, halo 3, guitar hero, bioshock, fallout 3, deadspace, prince of persia, burnout paradise, the orange box, L4D. so many games, and many of them with online capabilities.
and now, the computer. how the gods play (when they can afford it!). i still love console gaming and computer gaming, handheld and iphone, i love games in all their shapes, sizes, and forms. and i have always been a generous/nice person, so when i heard about childs play and i was hooked. And so here we are now!
i hope thats not too long....
