I was just thinking about this and decided to post it to all of our forum goers...
Do you think classic/old games (Atari, NES, even SNES, etc.) will ever be forgotten in the future?
I just wonder if one day, games of old will be a distant memory, a forgotten soul, with no one to preach of their greatness and influence.
What do you think?

I don't necessarily think so. I know that with new technological advances, we'll just keep finding ways to play our favorite classics. For example, the new 3DS has the capability to play classics. So, I don't think our favorites we'll be going any time soon.

I'm not sure. But I know you can buy games on it like you would on virtual console

It won't be able to play the cartridges and I'm not sure if they will be releasing them on their market.

With people like us always playing them and talking about them. I really doubt it.

Don't let your kids play the overhyped FPS crap of today, I'm only 15 yet love these games, and if people can't afford to buy too much new games they have no other choice, but to go back to the past which is just as much fun!

Hey now, some FPS games are truly remarkable! Noone should go through life without playing Half Life and Half Life 2.

I personally love the Halo series, although the first one is probably my favorite out of the series.

Agreed.... The idea behind them is cool, pay less for releases in shorter spans of time but its been YEARS since episode 2. Ugh, I'm sick of waiting!

Classic games still have a large enough following that they wont be forgotten anytime soon. no way.
Only when gaming goes into far greater technology, like beyond tv's into holograms or something, will they maybe then be too distant of a memory.
