Well as most people know the Wii U is due in November.
Now I'm seen some really odd reports seems gamestop US is no longer taking pre-orders also that no one is buying it. (though could have just been 360 and ps3 fan-persons lol.)
Anyway the wii u white here is $348 and the Wii U black is $428 at pretty much every store. 1 store is listing a free 3rd party accessory pack with either though.
Some interesting facts are the wii here on release cost $399. Yet the wii U 32gig is only $428. A few people are calling a price drop early next year in about march claiming it is way to expensive.
I'm interested in getting one on the day of release. But the problem is well the whole fun with the 3ds things. Price drop then redesign. Will they bring out a 16gig and 64gig version (examples of annoying console change) or put the price down? Something tells me if they plan on having VC gamecube games that neither 8gig or 32gig will cut it. (it seems you can add 3tb usb hard-drives?? and the normal up to 32gig sd cards.)
Apart from those things I'm happy with it. Id just like to find somewhere that has it for like a cheaper sale price. So far everything is RRP. I think 2 more stores are yet to release their pricing. Still 2 months and 2 weeks for me to go so they have plenty of time.
Supposedly Gamestop and Best Buy are already sold out of the black Wii U preorders which is why they are no longer taking any. Matt actually preordered one. The price here is $300 white & $350 black.
I doubt they would do a redesign soon. Seems like console redesigns take around 3 or more years to happen, unlike Nintendos 1 1/2 year handheld ones. I know you can use USB drives to expand memory which should solve any space issues.
