Well in terms of games id say it is. I wanted to get GT 5 so I was looking for bundles with it. LBP 2 is pretty much on the want list as I haven't seen anything bad about it. Resistance 3 I don't really give a cookie about. There RRP is all $39.94 Even if they gave me 10$ trade in for R3 it would be sweet. So if I was to get the ice cream cone bundle Id have to pay 80$ for games that id want. So 389$ bundle becomes 469$ 429$ bundle becomes 469$ If I can get to the shops over the weekend I'll get one. As I'm saving between 40$ and 80$ which is another 1 or 2 games that I can get that I want on top of the 2 already.

Well I didn't end up getting anything over the weekend. The offer is still on until Wednesday. So I still may get it.
I was hoping to maybe get the price down and that required another shop. Shop A has the offer. But I want to try shop B that has trade ins and they price match sometimes beat the offer if they like you.
So I was thinking go and see if shop A has them in stock. If they do go to shop B and ask for a deal where I get a game that I want that isn't Resistance 3 if they say yes buy it.
If they say no only will match then ask for a instant trade in to reduce the price. If they say no buy it at shop A. Then when I go back again for whatever reason take Resistance 3 and trade it in.
But I'm trying to work out if I can carry a ps3 home from the bus stop. I carried the xbox 360 that I have and I remember it being really annoying walking up hills with it. I could order a taxi but I feel like id want to buy something else big to make it worth it.
I am also just thinking of waiting a little while and get both a 360 and ps3 at the same day and same shop. Though there wont be any more decent deals for month or so though.
In saying that while cleaning up and moving things for the tech on Friday I found even more 360 games that I didn't remember having. So I'm like I don't really want to spend 400$ only to go meh at it as that's what I did and how much I paid for the 360.
These are the games I have now that I have played and never finished or yet to touch.
Paper mario 1000 years door. legend of zelda 4 swords adventure super paper mario mario kart wii new super mario bros wii super mario galaxy 1/2 drawn to life mario power tennis pikmin kirby's epic yarn kingdom hearts 1/2 infinite undiscovery blue dragon star ocean the last hope I also have twilight princess yet to finish and doubt I will. and skyward sword don't think I'll ever touch it though.
Those are just the ones in reach. I also have a massive pile of steam games. So I really can't justify getting a new console. Unless it was a new 360 It kinda would make more sense to get a new video card and a SSD atm. So i'll see what I come up with in the next day or so.

Well I think waiting may have been a good thing. ps3 super slim announced first deal I found has 500gig, 2 controllers and 2 games $398. This is from the most expensive store. So there should be some as nice or nicer deals elsewhere. 2 games that come with this are borderlands 2 and Little big planet. 2nd deal. 500gig. men in black 3 blu ray, HDMI cable, Need for speed: hot pursuit, fifa 13. $399. Out of the 2 id most likely pick the first one. But who knows the 2nd store may give a cash discount or something as they do that kinda stuff. Super slim 500gig is $398 RRP and the old 320 slim rrp is $449. So there should be some nicer offers and maybe some bye bye 320gig sales too

So I ended up getting a 500gig ps3 super slim. Didn't I have fun. The store over charged me for delivery (when it was free.) then called me up at 8am to talk about refunds and stuff. I ended up with 500gig + a additional controller for $378 delivered. Also I am meant to get a $40 paypal refund due to a offer that was on. So $338. These are the list of games that I am thinking about getting. These 4 are 2 for $40 They look ok. Atelier Rorona Trinity Universe Hyperdimension Neptunia Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell Of Air Ciel Agarest Generations Of War 2 Agarest Generations Of War Zero Final fantasy 13 and 13-2 * ATELIER TOTORI: ADVENTURER OF ARLAND Tales Of Graces Valkyria Chronicles Disgaea 3 Enchanted Arms Nier 3D Dot Game Heroes * I spent a few hours looking up prices for the rest of them and well I'll order some today/ over the weekend. *ones are I'm likely to get first.

Well maybe final fantasy 13 will end up in my collection pile. For $28 Australian I can't really complain as that's under 1/3 of its rrp. So if its 1/3 of a game then that's considered good I was going though the list while talking to people on skype and "I heard you will like that one" but I did say 13-2 at the same time. After looking at multiple shops online I ended up finding and ordering: Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice $34.90 Enchanted Arms $42.70 Final Fantasy XIII-2 13-2 $24.30 Final Fantasy XIII 13 $28.50 3D Dot Game Heroes $32.20 GRAN TURISMO 5 V XL EDITION $36.50 I ended up with a car racing game for variety.

Yep. Not really sure as to how many games I'll end up liking. I kinda went on memory and well mine is normally not trust-able. I kinda thought id look them up on youtube but unless I watched the whole game as one part maybe meh and wouldn't get it even though the rest was great.
Generally I don't like turn based games as I see the turns as trying to make the game longer. Also just standing still waiting to be hit is a unlikely event that would happen outside of a game. Though if they don't take ages to have a turn I normally am ok with it specially if it has pretty music to listen too.
$576.10 ended up getting me the 6 games 2 controllers and the console. Which oddly is about half what the 60gig ps3 cost here on release by itself lol.

Well I have pre ordered a Wii U deluxe. I ended up getting it for $388 delivered with some game pad protector (pre order bonus) and delivery. RRP is $430 and $15 for the game pad protector. So I think I did quite well. Only problem I have to wait until the 4th to the 6th of December to get it. Store sadly didn't offer pre order pick up. I now have to wait and see how much I have to play for NSMBU. Most stores have it listed for $80 and well that isn't really a bad price. The same store I am getting the wii u from is having a pay $100 or more on stuff and get a $20 discount so I could get NSMB2 3ds and get a nice discount both for $116 which is pretty good. (should be free postage) Seems the Wii U no longer has what people here call the Australia tax. Where a item in the US is $100's cheaper and the excuse they come up is shipping costs. $388 - the 10% sales tax is $349.20 that is cheaper then the US just. Also that games RRP is listed as $80 down from the $100 the Wii had. Edit: Well it looks like I'm visiting another store. 3ds games are $47 even for paper mario sticker star. Also their Wii u games are $69 for Australian stock. So either they are selling with nearly zero profit or that nintendo have caved into dropping the "Australia tax".

Have fun with the Wii U when you get it. Matt got the deluxe version as well. Nintendoland ended up being the most fun to play we thought. NSMBU was a lot of fun as well.

It would seem that I'm getting the Wii U premium for $358. The store was running a $50 off sale a day before it launched and then a extra $20 off with a discount code... Making it $358. I sent them a email asking can I have the new price please. Then I messaged them on facebook asking how long does it take to get a reply. Following day I get a reply to the email that said "too late we shipped it we can't change the price." (by the time they got to my email.) The facebook people asked we will reply now if you haven't gotten a reply at like 2pm email us with the reference number. But I didn't reply as I was crabby with them. While in the process of writing a complaint about why can't you price match yourselves at-least. They called me about the ps3 partial refund because that's the last facebook message I send them. I was like oh that was a while ago while I was not happy with how it ended that's in the past. Lady was like is there anything else so I said what happened. They did the whole sorry too late as well but since you where stuffed around we can offer you a $10 card. I then wanted to scream at them or just hang up on them. I said this is the 3rd time I have used your site. 3rd time I ended up unhappy with something. 3ds never shipped, ps3 over charged. Wii u price drop 2 days before it shipped. No price match when I asked you about it. If you paid the before $388 price it was tough cookies... You would think with your whole "we price match just ask us" attitude that you would price match yourselves. So I was put on hold then they said ok we will give you the $30. I then got the same message on facebook. I would have accepted the $10 discount to their current price and then a we stuffed you up $10 thing. But hopefully they don't change their mind.

Turns out they ended up beating themselves. On Tuesday there was a card in the letter box saying I had to go and sign for a letter. I was like what? why? Anyway the next day I went to get it. It was from the store. I thought oh great they sent me a gift-card instead. Opened it up and it was a $10 card. Why are they sending me that for... The store told me on Monday that the money would be put back onto my credit card by the end of the week. So I'm like I wonder if its $20 that they put on my card and the $10 giftcard which they didn't mention. Anyway turns out they ended up refunding the $30 and sending the $10 giftcard. So the Wii U ended up costing me $348. RRP is $429.95 Not sure why but I'm kinda hoping nintendo do another 3ds thing and price cut and have another ambassador thing. I doubt there would be but yeah.
