Since I have now bought a new phone and a new laptop. I'm going to have a look at replacing my keyboard and mouse.
There is nothing really wrong with the keyboard I have its just a bit dirty. It is missing some of the rubber things on the bottom so if it moves it makes a noise.
Mouse well its been dropped a few times and like my old laptop does decide to do things by itself. Only way to get it to respond again is to reset it by pressing the side 4 buttons at once.
Now by the time anyone sees the post I bet the deal/s would have ended. They end in 17 hours so the site says.
Logitech G9X mouse and G105 keyboard for 87$ Keyboard RRP is 79.95, mouse is $199.95 (so Logitech's website says) The 87$ ones are call of duty branded so black nail polish maybe required.
Razer tron mouse for 54$ RRP is $99.95
Both seem to be old and well reviews are mixed. Both about the items and the site that has them. It takes weeks for them to ship. Some have been 4 weeks. :S If they didn't take that long I would have bought either of them.
I currently have a Razer Lachesis V1 mouse and a Razer Arctosa keyboard. Which I paid like 130$ total a number of years ago.
Now are their any nice affordable gaming gear that I could maybe replace them with? If you feel its worth it?

The deal for the Logitech keyboard and mouse is a good deal, but I've never used either of those. I have a Logitech G5 mouse which is good and a Microsoft Sidewinder keyboard which I like a lot. Seems that a lot of those expensive gaming gear get mixed reviews. Some people swear by companies like Logitech and Razer, I like comfort and something that works. There's that Rat mouse or whatever it's called that's always looked interesting.

I ended up getting the Logitech deal I ended up with a $4 discount as I used their iphone app to pay for it. (though if I bought it in May it seems I could have gotten 20$ off it.) I looked before I was kinda disappointed as I thought the sale was ending at like 6pm today but it has been extended until tomorrow or something which to me is a grrr. So I just have to play the waiting game.

Nice, that's probably a good pick, Logitech makes some good products.

I was just watching some youtube reviews of it man they are boring and annoying. The keyboard got a 4 out of 5 as it didn't have a wrist rest. The mouse I really stopped caring what the person was saying about 1/3 of the way though the video. Both had some things that i liked and not much that I didn't like. Now I have the fun of picking a new video card to get. Edit: I received a email saying it had or was about to be shipped. If this is true or not is another thing. If it does get sent today/tonight Wednesday of next week I should have it.

Seems its another one of those. We will send you a tracking number but not actually send it as such things. These things seriously bug me. If it didn't update on Friday its because the postal service doesn't really do things on Friday. No biggy. Sunday night comes along no update. Sunday is a "weekday" in the postal service. (Sunday to Thursday are their processing days.) Now 12.07am on Tuesday and no update. Meaning they haven't shipped it. "Your order has been dispatched. Please allow 3-9 business days for delivery." Too me that means its has been sent not we have send the paper work... So it looks like another company that makes out we have super fast postage but blames the delivery for being slow. Much like USPS in Chicago that kept blaming slow deliveries non existent custom strikes that where "going on here." (seems USPS to here just stinks no matter what dispatch location now.)

Well I was wrong. I ended up getting it today. So it went though 2 parcel sorting centers without being scanned either in or out. Yep paying extra for tracking is kinda a waste.
I did get 2 tracking entries in the end one saying the driver had it and the second one that it was delivered.
So the first thoughts of the mouse and keyboard.
Keyboard is nice would rather the back light be a bit more brighter. Its more quiet then the last one. (It used to be quiet as well when I first got it originally though.)
Mouse. I really don't know what to do with it. I have put in a few weights and changed the profile a bit. The current case for it is odd and I keep hitting the side buttons which are set to back and forward web browser buttons.
Not all that sure if I can change my video card now. I was reading up on the extended warranty company bust article and it said the seller is required to honor the warranty. I really should read up on the MB ram and that warranty times should still be able to claim each part separately even if I upgrade the video card.

Well I ordered a new video card. I bought a 580gtx for 423$ as it was a clearance item. If I was closer to the store it would have been 399$ as that was the walk in store price. price ranges from like 380$ (all sold out at that price though) to like 700$. So I think I did good. If you want to check out a mini stream thing I did earlier on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=snqAkd4THAk and www.twitch.tv/penguincat25/b/331613990 I couldn't think of what to put in the black bit that I wouldn't get in trouble for so I put a picture of my old cat. Edit: just got a call from the shop out of stock with no more available as 500 series is dead. But the thing that bugs me is older computers still need video cards and the new ones are plain incompatible.

Well I was wrong. the 600 and 7000 series cards are compatible. Just wont perform as 100% in some cases. So I was told I could buy a 670 for example for the same amount the 580 costs. I found some Nice cooling/OC ones. So I may order one tonight.

www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=1975 is what I ended up getting. Cost me $470 with postage. Seems I now need to get a SSD as hard drive speed is the only thing slowing my computer down now lol
