Out of boredom I went and looked at the site for fun. It says my order has been shipped. But no tracking numbers listed. But in saying that its express postage and tracking can take 2 days to update. Well 2 days time id have it. But I will be crabby if like the dog things I bought that were marked as shipped twice yet 3 weeks later when I asked oh I hadn't sent them yet... I was looking at 365 day pre paid offerings to keep the iPhone alive as it gives me free stuff in a couple of shops. The cheapest I found was 19$ with the provider I was with originally. lol The problem is both the shops are in it's blackspots. The others charge $2 per MB of data rounded up in most cases. My 30cents to 5$ saving gets eaten up. If I end up with a free ice cream (30cents) then I lose money. I'm kinda interested to see if the nexus will finally eliminate all the problems I have or make more. I want to order the enhanced/expanded battery for the nexus. As its like sold out locally (who just import from hong kong.) I can order one from Korea. I may have to wait 2 weeks though as its 25$ shipping may as well buy 2 and get the shipping for 26$ batteries are 29$ each though. This brings me to a problem though. This time cases. I don't really want to buy one only for it not to fit once I get the bigger battery. Unless the shops I look at have it for like 5$ the iPhone case I bought cost 40$ so not holding out a heap of hope. lol

Well that has stuffed my week up. I didn't end up getting the phone today. Order is marked as complete/sent so I dunno what happened. Another super fun postal delay maybe. Or the site is trying to be all hey look I sent it out but not really. I put a support ticket in but they have gone for the day So this delay now means I can't get the sim card and stuff until Monday. edit: Well I'm a noob I sent the ticket just before 6pm. At 5.30pm I received a email with the shipping information. I logged in before to see if I can cancel the ticket nope oh well lol. But they did say it shipped on Tuesday in my account yet not really until Wednesday..

Ha, well there was an announcement from Vodafone in Australia that the Nexus S will be upgraded to Jellybean on July 19th. Not sure if you're with them or if you're getting the Nexus S but that could be cool.

Neither to both in this case. Vodafone Australia's network was/is horrible. They lost 400,000 members in the space of like 5 months. Calls never went though, data was like no point trying, sms's can take weeks to show up lol. I wasn't a fan after getting charged heaps to retrieve other peoples voice mail messages. This was in 2002. The network feel apart in 2009/10. Also 3G wise I was in a black spot as their tower was next to the other one I was with and well both had 2100mhz. To stop being a laughing stock they put 850mhz in that reaches me. (my provider telstra pretty much has 850mhz only. There is some 2100mhz but only in city centers that have super amounts of congestion. ) Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 is the one I'm getting. Provided you do something you can get jelly bean now. Changing the umm something I didn't understand. Some root thing and then different software. From what I was reading earlier on I kinda don't want to get jelly bean at the moment. As a reason for jumping was to get flash player and well adobe decided not to support the new android versions 4.0 was it last support. "may act bonkers after 4.1." The justintv/ustream apps were free on android when I looked. But I want a fall back if the apps are like IOS versions and well horrible to run and green or black screen and well take 5mins to load. If I'm happy and the Apps aren't annoying then flash can go bye bye. Then again not even sure if what I want to do will work or not lol. Edit: Just got the phone.

Let me know how you like the phone after you fool around with it. Also, I used the Ustream app before and it seemed to work well, I haven't used it in a while though so it has probably changed by now.

Well I have had a bit of a play with it.
I don't know if its the phones specs my router but I had a go at using 5ghz wifi. Well I was super disappointed in it. Same room with the router and the 2.4ghz won. Speedtest app reported 30mbit via 2.4ghz and 5ghz had 23mbit. If it deteriorated that badly over 15 feet no point getting a new wireless card for the laptop. So I may put that off. Though some website I'm reading says 5ghz is faster only by 2mbit though.
But it loads stuff a-lot faster then the iPhone did web browsing wise. Flash worked which is nice. I put firefox on it but was disappointed that the addon I wanted kept failing to install.
General thought about the phone itself. It really needs more weight. (a case and a bigger battery should do the trick.) I had a look from a few phone stores nexus cases are 60$. lol Screen size and that I'm happy with. No more tapping random things.
I rarely watch ustream as it hates me. Friends of felines, roo's streams, extra lives, mario marathon and nintendo direct are the only things that well worked on my computers. All of them I may add are special accounts. If you are not special then its like bad lol. So I spend more time on justin/twitch tv if I'm watching streams.

I guess it sounds like it's a pretty good phone right now. Is this your first Android phone? How do you like the OS?

Android phone yep. Could even argue first ever android device. Provided you don't count the Chinese android hack that was on the netbook that I bought and returned and ended up getting refunded more then I paid.. I haven't really done anything yet that I could say is better then IOS or even the other way. They do seem pretty same like. Apparently after the nexus unban in a-lot of places apple is now taking google and android to court over the android OS. I ended up getting the plugin for firefox installed (ad block plus for android firefox). Maybe the phone just needed a reboot or something. I am off getting a 5ghz wireless card for the laptop for now anyway. I took the phone around the house and saw how badly the signal was as I can't get any gain out of it save the 70$.

Apple takes everyone to court. They love playing lawyer with Samsung, there's always some kind of court filing against them.

I do not like the google play store or google wallet. I can say that lol. I don't like the play store as it uses google wallet and I don't like that because the whole idea is stupid. Link a credit card so you can use the phone as a credit card...
I bought a weather app and a radio streaming app the rest of them were free things that I found and downloaded before getting a sim card. As far as I know I wont be buying any more. Not at this stage anyway.
Little disappointed that only one app uses the credit on my phone. Which is mobile tv. 200mins a month max of 15 mins very limited range. 2 days ago they told me I could use the online music app after getting to the payment screen it says billed customers only. How am I meant to use 299$ of credit lol. Call voicemail a heap of times with out meaning to that's why its 299 as it decided to waste money calling it.
I'm also confused as what APN I'm meant to use both have tried have complained about network problems. One APN is well depends on who you ask iPhone only or for all smart phones. The iPhone apn recorded 4.8mbits/s using the speedtest app. The other one recorded 2.4mbit. exactly 2x faster. But some apps wont work as it thinks its looking for iPhones details or something.

I guess the whole point of Google Wallet is so you won't have to carry a wallet, even though you need to carry your drivers license with you, so it does and doesn't make sense to me. I've never used Google Wallet so I can't really talk much about it.
Not sure about APN. I do like how many free apps Android has, but I know developers probably don't and I understand why. My favorite thing about it is you can search almost anything and there will be some kind of app for it. I love my Earthbound live wallpaper app (called Abstract Art) :-P

Having to use google wallet to pay for apps is what gets me though. Isn't there another way that they can use instead.
Some apps I really don't understand the pricing of. Example plenty of emulators for like 2$ to 8$. Kinda wrong in my book. I really can't think of any apps that are worth getting. I'm not doubling up on the ones I have. lol

I don't mind Google wallet for apps, it's a quick and easy payment, just hope the info doesn't get stolen lol
I'll look up a topic sometimes just to see what kind if apps they have for that, sometimes I'm surprised.

I found a video that explains what vodafone Australia is like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=306OsChFw0A I do like the video. though it is a parody of lady gaga's telephone song. To put in in a really odd way vodafone Australia is performing worse then in the euro debt nations Greece and Spain. technologyspectator.com.au/vodafones-battle-against-vodafailI have leant some really interesting things about vodafone in the last week it wasn't ever designed correctly. There are hardly any fibre links it's microwave links in a-lot of places. in the hope the NBN (100mbit fibre to 93% of homes) will wholesale the fibre backhaul to it. From what I know 3 was a decent network only in the duel carrier 3GIS network (which gets switched off next month.) My provider installed fibre links for the towers that 3 shared. Someone on WP said that my carrier will update to jelly bean like in the next month. That 4.0.4 goes live like next week or something which I already have. May explain why it acts so funny.
