So I got a parcel today and a note saying "arrived in this condition to the local delivery center". I look at it and go whats that?!?! Oh that's the marathon prize I pick it up and hmm it makes strange noises. I thought maybe you put the figurine in it and the figurine was a put it together yourself thing. I go hmm Well I'll open it up and find shards of glass.
Dudes glass and mail doesn't mix. I know I worked in a mail sorting place. You need like 1.5+ inchs of super bubble wrap. Even then a hit in the right place and smash.
While sending glass stuff to other US states might be fine. But for me its chucked in a 3.5 foot squared cube container I mean chucked in. Then rolls around with other things for 10+ hours in a plane until it lands.
I <3 you guys for caring but that was one super silly thing to do.
Anyone know how to get rid of tiny bits of glass off fingers and out of eyes?

Penguincat I'm really sorry to hear that. Are you ok? Was everything ruined? Did you really get glass in your eyes?

Penguin, its Mike - I handled everything with your prizes. I am SO sorry it came over broken.
I chose the frame, and I liked that it was glass and not just plastic, but it never completely dawned on me that plastic might be the better choice being that you live so far away. And as I was wrapping it, I took extra care to wrap it multiple times and then pack as much bubble wrap on top of the glass that I could. The frame itself is only about 3/4 of an inch thick, and when the post office measured the final package, it came out to be 2 inches thick. Ask Matt and Chris; I am super-OCD when it comes to stuff like that (you should see my drawer that I keep all my Faxanadu stuff in), but when it comes down to it, glass needs to be handled with EXTREME care and caution when shipping, and especially shipping so far of a distance.
I take full responsibility for this one; I should've really done a better job of packaging, I completely apologize.
--- Let us know if we can do anything! Did the Metroid statue come over ok?

Yes I'm fine there is some glass dust around where I first opened it. I did get glass dust in my left eye it hurt for a bit but I got it out. (I was trying to get it out when I was writing the first post so that could be why there were a few words missing in places.) If I didn't get it out it can be friends with the beer bottle glass that's in my foot. (When I was a kid I jumped on a beer bottle as a dare. First two times I jumped on it nothing happened 3rd time it shattered.) Master Chief did end up with a few digs and scratches. Can't really notice them from a distance. I did see you did put in quite a bit of bubble wrap problem was it kinda needed to be the bigger bubble wrap the heavy duty stuff. My dog hates it when you pop the big ones lol. Re the metroid figurine well haven't gotten it yet. Maybe today. Other wise its off partying with a motorbike part that should have been here 2 weeks ago. Mike you could always draw and color me some Yoshi pictures like enough to fill a 12 x 9 x 7 inch box.
