Ive been pondering if the 3ds is worth buying atm.
the 3ds store is open and OOT is out (well not here though june 30th.)
So I'm like maybe its worth a buy now?
This is the best deal I found.
Nintendo 3ds and Asphalt 3D for 339$ + 6$ postage. If bought before June 30 a 20$ cash back via paypal offer. So 325$ total. (Standalone prices are 349$ for the 3ds and 60$ for Asphalt 3D.) Same site also has a pre order offer for zelda OOT 3d for 47$. (Doesn't come out here till the end of the month.)
I was told to go look on eBay for some nice deals but after being scammed while getting game stuff before. Id rather get it at a or a online store of a real store.

It's a yay for me. I have OoT, SF 4, Link's Awakening, DK 94, and of course excite bike. And a couple dsi ware games. I'm loving the handheld.

That was close well maybe.
I was just about to buy the above offer I was umming it a couple of hours ago. I decided I'll wait until OoT comes out in June 30th. Some places are selling it early though.
I then get told another shop now has a 3ds for 298$ that comes with either Rayman 3d or Monkey ball 3d. I have heard of them but never played any of the other releases. Are they fun? I guess I could get one and get 18$ worth as a trade in lol. Or sell it on eBay.

I'm loving my 3ds! Pretty much the only non-retro gaming that I've been playing recently (and now that I think about it, most of the games I'm playing on it ARE retro...). Ocarina 3d, Link's Awakening, and Pilotwings (plus the DS games that I've picked up recently) have kept me very happy ;D

I think I might pick up a 3ds on Thursday.
I wonder if they will have any left lol. I remember getting the gamecube from the exact same toy sale years ago. Waiting for over a hour they ran out a few mins after we were served. Was a pretty cool offer though. Game cube + the Gameboy player thingy all up 199.99$. or 50% off.
I had to wait a few weeks I believe to play the thing. Then a little while later before I got wind waker which was my only gc game for like ages.
Lolcat though these are the prices of links awakening on the 3ds
United States: $5.99 USD United Kingdom: £5.40 Australia: 9$ AUD New Zealand $11.20 NZD
I don't understand why is our price based on the UK price? Seems strange to me.

I ended up getting rayman 3d and Oot and a 3ds for 347$. Not really a great deal. I'm currently looking to see what rayman 3d sells on ebay for. Brand new doesn't sell for 30$ lol
One thing I learnt though is 3d is not for me. I instantly felt sick just using the configuring tool. Plus its literally a pain in my eye. Only having one eye to look at it. (note I do have 2 eyes just one doesn't work all that great.) Which is why I like games that aren't HD as 1 eye can look at sd fine. Anymore and its just too much. Its like having 2 computer screens one with 16bit color and 15fps and one with 32bit color and 50fps. Bit of a difference in the 2.
Does your copy of OoT 3d come with the sound track on the club nintendo site? I registered on club nintendo just to get it. Then thought might as well use the star point card things then found more in other games I have bought and I ended up with 2300 stars. lol Only 200 more for game and watch collection even though it sort of looks meh to me.

I'm sort of bored with mine. Playing OoT I'm now up to the water temple. I don't really hate the water temple or find it hard. I only have one problem and that's finding a particular key. Once I find it I have no problems with the rest of the temple. I've nearly finished links awakening.

So the 3ds gets price drop due to bad sales. Dammit why couldn't I have been born in august. 350rrp to 250rrp. I paid 298$ which included a game. So I'm in-front just. There were stores selling it for 350$ and it came with a game holder thing worth 5$ only.
Though the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program thingy does make me happy. 20 free games which at Australian prices does work out to be quite nice.
At a random guess GBA titles should be around $11-$15. So 10 games would be around $130-$150 NES at a random guess $5-$8 (As the GB games are $4.50 and aren't in colour.) So $50-$80.
From the list I saw. Might be a different list to the US.
GBA list Yoshi’s Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™ Inc.: Minigame Mania (not sure if these are 2 separate games.)+ Mario vs. Donkey Kong™.
NES Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, + Balloon Fight™, * Ice Climber™, The Legend of Zelda™
* means I most likely wouldn't have bought it. + means more info on it required. So unless the missing games are all meh I'm way out in front.

I'm sure anyone who is a member of Gamestops Power Up Rewards thingy got the email already, but I figure I'll let you guys know. They are having a deal this weekend on the 3ds, but you need to print out the coupon through your Power Up account. If you do have it and get the coupon you can trade in an old DS (DS Lite, XL, or DSi) and get the 3ds for $100. Just wanted to inform you all.

I think its best to wait for the quarterly sales results to come out. But from what I have read it is a decent increase in sales. Some game developer said its been a 800% increase in there games sales.
Only 33 more hours till the 3ds ambassador thing starts. Apparently yay.

In-case you haven't seen NES games for the 3ds ambassador as listed on the Nintendo Japan website. Super Mario Bros. Donkey Kong Jr. Balloon Fight Ice Climber The Legend of Zelda Wrecking Crew NES Open Tournament Golf Yoshi Metroid Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Note: May or may not be the world wide games.
Still no update as to the remaining GBA games.
It will be nice to have games on the 3ds. I was going to buy a dsi ware game but was able to get it on my iphone for 99 cents vs paying 12$ for it on the 3ds. I did like the $11.01 saving.
